Consensys Values Video
Animating brand principles through real-time 3D motion in Spline. Created by the Superside design and motion team.

problem
In late 2023, Consensys sought to refresh how its five Core Values were presented to internal and external audiences. The new brand identity emphasized dimensionality, motion, and a sense of digital craftsmanship — but existing visuals felt static and disconnected from the company’s energy. The challenge was to express these abstract values — ideas like collaboration, transparency, and curiosity — through motion and form, using Spline, a browser-based 3D platform specifically requested by the client. While Spline allowed real-time collaboration and quick iteration, it also introduced constraints compared to traditional tools like Cinema4D or Blender, limiting rendering control, textures, and lighting depth. The team had to learn this new software while maintaining creative precision and brand fidelity.
solution
Working with Superside's design and motion team, we reimagined each of the five values as its own 3D vignette. Each was a modular composition that combined typography, shape, and animation rhythm. I contributed to the animation and motion refinement, adapting predesigned assets to function within Spline's limitations while maintaining motion logic and brand cohesion. Through close collaboration with art directors and 3D designers, we shaped each principle into an immersive visual moment. The results were abstract yet recognizable, cohesive yet distinct. The final sizzle reel brought the values to life, showing how motion and structure can communicate culture as effectively as language.
Designing Connection Across Time Zones and Tools
8 countries, 6 time zones, one common goal: putting values into motion.
Collaboration became the real medium for this project: constant coordination, clear communication, and a synchronized creative rhythm between design, motion, and brand teams.
With Spline, feedback happened in real time because of its browser-based workflow; every change, every curve instantly visible to teammates around the world.
That transparency reshaped how we worked: less linear, more conversational.
It proved that the moment creative alignment crosses borders, design itself becomes the language of connection.
